Woodbridge is always a great place to spend a few enjoyable hours shopping in the many independent shops, followed by a bite to eat and a drink in a local pub or restaurant.

Now, with arrival of Bathsheba, you can include a luxury spa treatment in your day out.

Bathsheba is owned and run by Annie Averdieck, who moved to the county about two years ago and settled in Thorpeness.

With children at school in Woodbridge she travels there every day and spotted the need for a centrally located spa that could cater for visitors to the town and locals with limited time who would appreciate something on their doorstep.

Bathsheba takes its name from the Caribbean Bathsheba beach and the plantation theme is reflected in the ambience of the refurbished Church Street building.

It has a welcoming street level reception and treatment area, with TV screens and headphones for people who want to completely chill out, plus two further treatment rooms – one with a free-standing bath for those who enjoy a relaxing pre-treatment soak.

The spa has REN products exclusively in Suffolk, chosen by Annie for their effectiveness, as well as their Maroccan Rose aroma.

Bathsheba’s therapists offer a full range of treatments including massage, facials and peels - including for men - pedicures, nails, threading and waxing. There are also specialist treatments for mothers-to-be.
