Why have you chosen these clothes for the photoshoot?
This the style of suit that I would normally wear for work. My average working day is very much customer focussed, so my style tends to be fairly conservative, although comfort is a priority for me. I must profess to liking outfits that are carefully co-ordinated, with a touch of individuality.

Are they typical of your day to day wear?
Yes, I guess they are fairly typical. The advantage of the clothes that I wear is that they allow me to dress up or down as the day dictates. Sometimes you simply dont know what the day can bring.

If money was no object what would you wear?
A slick tailored suit worn by Sean Connery in Goldfinger, with a blonde Bond girl on each arm perhaps! No seriously, Im fairly happy with the wardrobe I have. I dont tend to be too extravagant with the clothes that I buy, but do believe in good quality and the old adage that you get what you pay for.

Whats the most outlandish thing in your wardrobe?
What instantly comes to mind is a bright yellow kipper tie that was bought for me as a Christmas present many years ago. You never know, it may just come back into fashion.

Where do you buy your underwear?
Good old Marks and Spencer suits me fine.
Do you judge people by their clothes?
No. Working so closely with the public, I think it would be foolish to judge people by what they wear.

Do you have a style role model?
Im afraid I dont.

Are the current crop of style makeover television programmes provocative and interesting or bitchy and pointless?
I dont watch much television, so Im not really au fait with the likes of Trinny & Susannah, Gok Wan or 10 Years Younger. However, I do find Mary Portas Queen of Shops very interesting and highly entertaining.

Is there anyone in the public eye crying out for a makeover?
I enjoyed the recent series of Celebrity Masterchef. I do think Dick Strawbridge could benefit from a facial makeover and his bushy moustache would look better for a trim.

Who cuts your hair and how often?
My wife used to be a hair stylist and gives me a number two once a week. After all these years, the big question is still where to put my parting!

Do you have an exercise routine?
I walk my dog Ben twice a day, although not quite as far as we used to now he is getting older. I also enjoy walking, riding my bike and swimming.
