Quirky suffolk: A lesson in Tye



Tye is the term for a green or common pasture and only occurs in places names in west Suffolk (Cornard Tye, Bulmer Tye, etc) and a small area in Essex where the two counties meet. It occurs particularly in the Hadleigh and Sudbury areas.
