Alde Valley Suffolk Family History Group is appealing for information about the people of Leiston who lost their lives during the Second World War for a programme of events planned in Leiston to mark the 75th Anniversary of VE Day in May

The association has a list of names sourced mainly from the war memorial in St Margaret's Churchyard, Leiston which includes members of the Armed Forces and civilian casualties.

The association's Chris Broom says they are keen to hear from any living relatives or friends who may be able to provide stories, photographs or other artefacts to help commemorate fully the bravery of the people involved.
