Amateur photographer Stephen Squirrell has an advantage when it comes to finding inspiration for his favourite landscape shots he lives just yards from the sea at Felixstowe.

Stephen, 57, works as a child-minder with his wife, and enjoys windsurfing in the warmer months. The recent cold weather has, though, given him the chance to get out about with his digital camera to take the kind of atmospheric views seen on these pages.

"I know the early morning is considered the best time to take photographs but I tend to be taking mine in the afternoon. The advantage of digital is you can take hundreds of images and Im now starting to play around with my cameras manual settings to get a different feel to some pictures, " he explains.

And his pictures arent limited to the Suffolk coast, he takes his camera on holiday to the New Forest, Norfolk and France.
