Gallery 2 is the Suffolk Craft Societys permanent exhibition space in Ipswich town centre and was established in 2006. It is used to feature an ever changing display of its members work all year round. Visitors to the gallery will find a light, airy exhibition space in a beautiful, historic building, and a tranquil haven of creativity from the bustle of the busy town and market.

During April 2012 the Suffolk Craft Society put out an open call for submissions to its inaugural Open Craft Exhibition in Gallery 2.

This was an opportunity for students, amateur and professional crafts people from Suffolk to exhibit their own unique designs in various craft media. From those who applied, 13 skilled artists, makers and designers have been selected and their work is now on show at Gallery 2 until the middle of July. The exhibited work includes bold lino prints, fine etchings, quirky textiles, precious jewellery, unique ceramics and detailed pyrography. All craft work on display is for sale.
