Four artists exhibiting in Woodbridge
Art enthusiasts can look forward to a collaborative event this month in the Woodbridge area, which will showcase some of the county’s best talent.
Four artists will be exhibiting their work in the Suffolk Open Studios event, an organisation run by artists for artists and art lovers.
Deborah Burrow, Jackie Dommett, Christine Lester and Ali Holingsworth will all be exhibiting together at a new Artist’s Hub during the weekends in June in Melton.
Open studios, give visitors the chance to meet and talk to artists and see their work in the setting of their own studios.
Each of the artists has an interesting history, and their inspiration to create is evident in their distinctive artworks.Deborah’s peaceful contemporary artworks reflect her love for the countryside and wildlife in Suffolk, and Christine’s work, focuses on the Deben estuary and its lively, constantly changing scenes of people and birds going about their daily lives.
Ali, who was influenced by her very creative parents, is passionate about the English coast and countryside. She describes herself as an ‘intuitive’ painter and currently paints in acrylic and collage. Jackie finds inspiration and solace in nature and creativity. She is passionate about colour and pattern, and enjoys mixing media – especially print and collage.
The Suffolk Open Studios event is at Hackney Road Studio, Hackney Road, Melton, Woodbridge, IP12 1NW (near the Spar shop/garage) from 11am-5pm on the weekends of June 6-7, 13-14, 20-21 and 27-28.
