Sea Pictures Gallery in Clare is offering free, personal ‘Just for You’ Sunday viewings for up to four people to escape the stresses of the pandemic
Sea Pictures Gallery in Clare has launched ‘Just For You Sundays – a personal gallery experience’ as a way for art lovers to feel safe and secure when visiting the gallery during Covid-19.
Throughout autumn and winter, owners Sarah and Alaric Pugh will open the gallery from 11am-12.30pm and 2.30pm-4pm each Sunday to people who haven’t been able to get out much to do normal things, either because of working long hours, or because they are nervous about going out in the current situation.
The slot is bookable in advance and for a maximum of four people – Sarah and Alaric will make up the gathering to its maximum of six. People can have the gallery to themselves, or they can enjoy a guide and a chat with Sarah and Alaric about the artists in the exhibition.
“I’m sure I can rustle up a cup of coffee or tea too!” says Sarah. “Come and let art inspire you and heal your soul. Come and see that there are pockets of normality if you look for them even in this very challenging world. Let my four walls be yours for a short moment in time.
“If you have a neighbour, or elderly parent, or work colleague that you fear are being adversely affected by isolation or relentless work pressure, book a slot and step off the planet. We all need to re-charge from time to time.”
There is no fee and no pressure to buy. Sarah says the initiative is about supporting those who are struggling and will increasingly struggle as winter draws near and the weather turns.

“We have all enjoyed outdoor living this year but soon many will be confined to the four walls of their home. Just For You Sundays could be just what they need.”
