A cooking event boosts the team’s fundraising at the Ipswich firm
Enthusiastic amateur cooks took part in a pasta making masterclass at Anglia Factors in Martlesham with celebrity chef Paul Foster.
Paul led an easy-to-follow session, allowing for lots of questions and practical advice including how to dry and store the freshly made pasta.
Once made, he showed the group how to make a couple of impressive pasta dishes so they can show off their pasta making skills at home.
The group also enjoyed delicious nibbles of salt cod croquettes, Lavoche flat bread with chorizo jam and apple, and truffled popcorn.
The event was free to attend and a collection was held in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice to support the fundraising efforts of owner Daniel Barr and his son, Alex, who took part in the 300 mile Hospice Team 100 London-Paris cycle ride in September.
They raised almost £5,000, and Dan said:”St Elizabeth Hospice does incredible work to improve the lives of seriously ill people and their families. We were very happy to take the opportunity to undertake a father-son challenge to raise money for them.
“I’d very much like to thank everyone who has sponsored us on this challenge helping us to raise a fair amount for this great cause.”
