Fancy being amodel in a Suffolk Magazine fashion spread? Or having a rugby World Cup winner take a training session and talk to your school? Or how about a three-course dinner cooked in your own home by renowned chef Regis Crepy?
Maybe you would like to win a rare opportunity to own a picture of an RAF Lakenheath fighter jet signed by the entire serving squadron, or take tea with David Ruffley MP at the House of Commons. How about a day at the races followed by cocktails, dinner and a stay at the four-star luxury Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds?
These perfect Christmas presents and much, much more, are all going under the virtual hammer to raise money for West Suffolk Hospital’s Neonatal Unit from Sunday, December 1.
The auction has been supported by renowned Bury St Edmunds auctioneers, Lacy Scott & Knight, who will host it on their website, and has received some amazing auction items from local businesses and individuals alike.
Regis Crepy, owner of Maison Bleue, the Great House and Mariners, has offered the chance to have him cook a three-course menu for a maximum six people, in your home (which must be no more than a 20-mile radius from Lavenham).
You could win special training sessions by Rugby World Cup winner Andy Gomarsall, courtesy of Bury-based Network 2 Supplies Ltd, and a goalkeeping session by Ipswich Town keeper Scott Loach.
Suffolk Magazine is giving away the chance to be a model in the magazine’s fashion pages, while you can also watch Ipswich Town in either an executive box for six or alongside popular ex-player Simon Milton in the directors’ box – the choice is yours!
A chance to save money on your big day by winning a hand-tied bridal bouquet plus wedding nails and make-up has been donated by Tudor Rose florists, in Bury, and The White Studio in Glemsford, is going under the hammer while David Ruffley has offered afternoon tea for two with him at the House of Commons.
Greene King have donated two nights and one dinner at any of their Old English Inns while you could win a beer tasting dinner for six at Benson Blakes or a six-course taster menu, with wine, at the Six Bells in Horringer.
Dave Gooderham, fundraising manager for West Suffolk Hospital Charity, said: “We are truly humbled by the level of support, and level of wonderful and unique auction prizes, we have received for the auction.
“The Neonatal Unit is a very special place for me personally, after my son, George, was born premature and spent two-and-a-half weeks there.”
The auction is now live at http://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/lacy-scott-and-knight/catalogue-id-2896403 until Sunday, December 15.
