Archant

Suffolk Dog Day is on again and you'd be barking mad to miss it.

Sunday, July 27 is the day to take your canine companion to Helmingham Hall for one of the best charity fundraisers in the county. The gates open at 10am and the fun starts at 11am – more classes than ever, lots of activities, stalls, refreshments and entertainments.

The event – now in its seventh year – is organised on behalf of the Suffolk Community Foundation, which since 2005, has awarded more than £8.5million to groups tackling a wide range of issues and has supported over 2,000 local charitable groups across Suffolk. Funds raised at Suffolk Dog Day will go to support inspirational and hard working voluntary groups. For further information go to www.suffolkcf.org.uk.

So, get there early to register for classes and look around the many stalls, enjoy refreshments and the entertainments. The grounds are great for walkies too!

Admission to Suffolk Dog Day is £8 for adults (£7 in advance), children, senior citizens over 60 and disabled £6 (£5 in advance), family ticket (two adults and two children £22 (£20 in advance). www.suffolkdogday.com or 01473 786918
