Independent craft beer shop Hopsters, in Ipswich, has launched its very own bar on St Nicholas Street

Owner Ed Barnes originally opened Hopsters two years ago as a destination for beer lovers to find and buy excellent and unusual craft beers.

Now, by popular demand, Ed has transformed Hopsters into a bar and shop, giving people a friendly place to drink and shop for delicious craft ale under one roof.

With more than 250 different varieties of beer on offer, Hopsters describes itself as 'the smallest bar with the biggest selection'.

Customers can also choose from Hopsters' extensive range of spirits, including Heart of Suffolk Gins and rum from Burning Barn.

Last year Hopsters brought Ipswich Beer Festival back to life after an absence of ten years, offering beers from Suffolk craft breweries and around the country from the Channel Islands to Scotland.

At the time, the festival, which was held at Ipswich Corn Exchange, was declared an emphatic success and Ed pledged there would be a repeat event in 2020.
