Winner: Lavenham Butchers

This butchers sells local meats sourced from nearby farms. They attend farmers markets, make their own pies, sell local art, honey, and orange juices. The judges said that they also run ‘meet the farmers’ events.

Highly Commended: Truly Traceable Venison & Game Pies

This couple run business sells sausage rolls and homemade pies, working with local suppliers that could be ‘seen from their kitchen window’. They are dedicated to proving to people where their produce comes from, according to our judges.

Highly Commended: Wild Meat Company

The judges said that the Wild Meat Company’s commitment to sustainability is evident. Set up 16 years ago, the wool packaging used is a superb example of what can achieved via a passion and commitment of quality local produce.
