For this prestigious award, judges were looking for chefs who are working within Suffolk, who demonstrate excellence in their profession and a commitment to supporting the county’s food and drink producers through their menus.

Winner: James Carn-Pryor – Pea Porridge

The Judges described James’ starter as perfectly cooked with wonderful flavours, the main course was noted to have a perfect flavour combination and the dessert - just amazing!

Highly Commended: Alexander Aitchison – The Queen

The Judges described Alex’s starter as wow! The spring colours involved in the dish were sublime. The main course was described as lovely and the dessert was a joy! All dishes were simply but beautifully presented, a worthy finalist.

Highly Commended: Trevor Clark – Formerly at the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club

The judges saw Trevor’s passion and drive in his dishes, the presentation and dish complexity showed great enthusiasm for his work. The meringue in Trevor’s dessert were described as perfect!
