There is a lot to consider when deciding on an educational facility. Here are some excellent places in Suffolk that might be the perfect fit for your child
South Lee is a dynamic independent day school and nursery on Nowton Road in Bury St Edmunds for children aged 2-13 years. They provide a challenging, inspiring and individualised learning journey from toddler to teenager focusing on key values such as kindness, resilience and zest for life, in order to prepare pupils for senior school and beyond.
Children are fully supported by their caring, professional and motivated staff who provide each child with a broad and relevant education, setting high expectations and celebrating effort, curiosity and perseverance. A vibrant and busy school day extends beyond the classroom with their extensive sport, art, music and drama facilities encouraging pupils to develop into well-rounded individuals who are ready to thrive in and contribute to the wider community.
South Lee’s results speak for themselves; in the last 5 years every pupil has gained entry to their first-choice secondary school, and in 2018 amongst the 14 students in Year 8, 7 scholarships were awarded. They pride themselves on keeping class sizes small and providing a caring and nurturing approach with a family feel. Their Individual Development team looks after every individual to ensure that any specific needs are met, both for those experiencing learning difficulties and also gifted and talented pupils. This is all inclusive in their fees.
They offer scholarships at 8+ and 11+ in March for the following academic year. Do come and visit South Lee on Saturday 9th February 2019 between 10am-12 noon to experience what they do best and meet both staff and pupils.
