Join Suffolk based, not-for-profit cookery school Cook With Me, on August 31 for a cook-along event with celebrity chef Johnnie Mountain, of The English Pig, Westminster.
Cook With me is the brainchild of Emma Haines, a woman with a passion for food and a mission to get families cooking. Over the past few years she has been working with a number of Suffolk schools and community groups in the county to help people learn more about their food and where it comes from. Now in conjunction with Stellisons and Neff, she has opened the first state-of-the art Cook With Me cookery school in the heart of Ipswich offering children’s cookery lessons, butchery days, corporate entertaining and ‘cook-a-long’ events. Johnnie Mountain worked with some of the most recognised names in the culinary world including Heston Blumenthal and Marco Pierre White, before opening his own restaurants, Mosaica@the Factory in Wood Green, followed by The English Pig, a defiantly British establishment. Johnnie,s appearance on The Great British Menu, in which he famously walked off the set, has made him a foodies’ favourite
For the Cook With Me cook-along on August 31, Johnnie will guide willing participants through three fabulous dishes, culminating in a sit down meal with wine. You and your partner could be taking part in that event – Cook With Me has teamed up with the Salthouse Harbour Hotel and Suffolk Magazine in a competition to offer one lucky couple two places at the cook-along, PLUS an overnight stay at The Salthouse Harbour Hotel including breakfast.
