Sausages + beer = happiness at Jimmy’s Farm

WIN family tickets to the Sausage and Beer Festival

Jimmy’s Farm Sausage and Beer Festival on July 26 and 27 promises an energetic weekend of popular bands and family activities.

The main paddock’s ‘truck stage’ will be headed up by X factor winner Matt Cardle and pop rock trio Dodgy. The festival the stage will feature a line-up of popular new and established bands including Farrah, The Vagabond, Polar Collective and Ben Earle.

BBC chef Valentine Warner will be cooking on the demonstration stage with Leon co-founder and television chef Allegra McEvedy. They are part of a team of award winning chefs including Marcus Bean, Galton Blackiston, Alan Paton, James Barber and Jimmy’s own head chef Jon Gay. The chefs will use the best of East Anglia’s produce to enthuse and inspire festival goers with new and original ideas for their tables.

More than 100 different types of beer and ale will be served in the farm restaurant which will be transformed into a Tyrolean beer keller with long tables, oompah music and sausage menu All the sausages are made in the farm butchery from Jimmy’s rare breed, free range pigs.

Theatre company Red Rose Chain will create a magical theatre in the forest for a late night performance of A Comedy of Errors.

Jimmy Doherty and his wife Michaela have two young children of their own and wanted to create a festival that would be fun for the young at heart. The action packed Chipolatas Kids Zone is full of surprises with street dancing, circus skills, puppet shows, music jams and high wire challenges. Most of the farm’s regular children’s activities will also be open for the including the popular nature trail, Hobbit House, zip wire and adventure playground.

And for the first time, there will be a camp site. Tickets are available through the website. One day tickets for adults: £15 children: £10, family ticket: £45, under 2s go free.
