Bonfire events in Suffolk: 13 fantastic firework displays

Wherever you are across Suffolk fantastic fireworks or a crackling bonfire are just around the corner. We’ve rounded up 13 of the best events in the county for you to choose from

1) Bonfire & Fireworks at Museum of East Anglian Life – November 3

Starts: 6pm

Tickets: £5 adults and £3.50 children

Highlights: Unique location of the museum’s 75-acre site and chance to see many traction engines in steam


2) Heveningham Hall Fireworks – November 3

Starts: 4.30pm

Tickets: Vehicle ticket (includes all in vehicle) is £30 on the gate or £10 for adults or £5 for 4-14 year olds

Highlights: The Noisettes playing live at the event


3) Bury St Edmunds Abbey Gardens Charity Fireworks Spectacular – November 3

Starts: 5:30pm

Tickets: £5 adults and £3 for children

Highlights: Get to see the Abbey Gardens lit up by a variety of colours and also raise lots of money for the local community


4) Sproughton Community Bonfire, Fireworks & BBQ – November 2

Starts: 7pm

Tickets: £6 for adults and £3 for kids. Parking is £1 (goes to the church fund)

Highlights: No frills event selling very reasonably priced BBQ food, attracted nearly 2,000 visitors last year!


5) Ipswich YM RUFC Fireworks Event – November 10

Starts: 6pm

Tickets: Advance tickets £5 for adults and £4 for kids.

Highlights: Guest ales, doughnuts and a delicious gin and prosecco bar


6) Hadleigh United FC Fireworks at the Millfield – November 2

Starts: 6.30pm

Tickets: On the gate adults £5 and kids £4

Highlights: Craft fair also running at 6.30pm which will be ideal for Christmas


7) Ipswich Fireworks Display at Christchurch Park – November 3

Starts: 6pm

Tickets: On the gate £8 adults and £6 children

Highlights: Possibly the region’s biggest event featuring music of various genres and a fire performance troupe


8) Framlingham Fireworks Spectacular – November 3

Starts: 6pm

Tickets: On the night £6 adults and £4 children

Highlights: Display from SHELL SHOCK Fireworks and an unprecedented amount of food from local sources


9) Firework Display at Delphi Centre Sudbury – November 4

Starts: 5.30pm

Tickets: Free

Highlights: Performance from the Phoenix Community Marchers and a fully-licensed bar


10) Felixstowe Firework Spectacular at Felixstowe & Walton FC - November 4

Starts: 4:30pm

Tickets: advance tickets £6 adults and £3 for under-16s

Highlights: ‘Night Flight’ aerial display team and FireFlow fire performance


11) Fireworks Fun Night at St Alban’s High School, Ipswich – November 2

Starts: 6pm

Tickets: On the night £5 adults, £4 children

Highlights: A family-friendly event to raise money for the school


12) Greshams Firework Night, Ipswich – November 3

Starts: 6pm (funfair from 12pm)

Tickets: Adult £7 and children £5

Highlights: Enormous funfair and an after part following the fireworks


13) The Big Night Out at Long Melford Hall – November 9

Starts: 6pm (not yet confirmed for 2018)

Tickets: on the gate £8 adults, £6 children (not yet confirmed for 2018)

Highlights: stunning setting supported by a 30-minute display from ‘Pains Fireworks’
