Try this easy juice recipe packed with raw food and no added sugar to give you a healthy start to your day
Colleagues always grimace at me when I describe my morning juice. “Beetroot? For breakfast? Yuck!” Admittedly you probably have to like the bulbous root veg a little bit to try making this juice, but it has such a fresh, sweet flavour, I doubt its inclusion will put most people off.
I prepare all the ingredients every night before I go to bed, rubbing the lemon on the apple to prevent it from going brown, and store in the fridge in a tub. My juicer was less than £30 and has definitely been worth the money. If you can’t stomach eating in the morning and want a health boost, give it a whirl.
1 medium raw beetroot peeled and quartered
1 large carrot peeled and roughly chopped
¼ red pepper
1 apple peeled, cored and quartered
½ lemon, pips removed
Simply pop everything in your juicer, blitz and drink immediately.
